Bridal hair and makeup, Perth and Surrounds

What a busy weekend, Friday was hair styling for Michaela's wedding day then Saturday down to Jarradale for Tracey's wedding held at Millbrook Winery
Words from Tracey
Hi Mel

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for Saturday. You made me feel so at ease, and I and all the girls were so happy with our "natural" makeup ;-) It was perfect! It even lasted through all my tears during the ceremony. We had a fantastic day!

I'll send you some more photos when we get them from Teneil.

Warmest regards,

Perth wedding party

Krystal married Matt last Saturday on a lovely 28 degree day. The weather gods were on her side.
All her maids wore the same side up do and Krystal choose to wear hers softly pulled back into a bun.
Makeup again was elegant and romantic. Using airbrush foundation, full sets of lashes, eyeshadow was blended hues of gold, mauves, expresso and champagne to compliment her gold and blush theme

2015 Bridal Looks

Bridal looks are becoming so beautiful, gone are the days of needing "heavy" full coverage makeup and hard lacquered dos.
In is natural skin, NO  NASTY CONTOURING!!!!
I'm seeing and being asked to do more hair out or down styles this year. It is a little more up keep on the day if you want it to be kept polished looking, you may need to pack a comb or static free brush and a little can of spray, but messy waves and a relaxed vibe are becoming the norm and it's a sexy beautiful look.
Eyes are getting softer looks, not so cut crease, if it's smokey it's a very smudged out look starting dark in the lash line and fading out to nothing.
Lashes are a must when opting for a "nude" look, they open the eye and are very youthful. Liner on the top lash line is another must, it can be a a very clean line with gel thick or thin, or a smudged out kohl pencil. Again it just roots those lashes and makes them look longer and thicker.
Lips colours are a little stronger, when the makeup is softer. Soft coral reds and brighter pinks bring colour to the face
Images borrowed from Here

Emma Stone with a simple metallic eye and bright red lip. Beautiful sleek pony

Felicity Jones no makeup look. Gorgeous lashes highlighted eyes and nude lip. Again sleek hair but with a little texture

Reese's look is very old hollywood, softer take on the smokey eye a bit of a 1920's feel. Looks like she has individual  lashes applied. And highlighted in the inner corners

Messy lived in braids. Dutch Braid

This is my fav look, simple, clean, elegant a look anyone can wear

Sultry, gorgeous look, smoked out burgundy coppery browns, gorgeous liner and a berry coloured look.

Business Headshots, hair and makeup

Holly and Sarah of Red Velvet Events, wedding planners wanted some headshots done for updates on their business profiles and a magazine submission about wedding planning.
I created looks based on their own personalities and styles. Makeup was very clean, light and fresh. Hair was soft and kept looking like they may have done it themselves.

Where Have I Been?

Sorry for the lack of updated posts here and on Facebook. I tried to take January off. I did just a couple of weddings, a fair few trials and caught up with a couple of brides and grooms that are set to wed in soon and I'll be photographing their day!! Here are some images of two of the couples, we did very quick mini sessions.

I received this amazing testimony from Jodie after I sent her a sneak look at her images

"Oh Mel you have put a tear in my eye with just these 2 photos!
After you left Allan and I were so happy, it was like we knew you for years and just catching up!
I have a good feeling that our wedding photos are going to super amazing and I can't wait to show everyone and recommend you to everyone! Haha no pressure!
You are very talented.
Hope your trip back home was good, and look forward to March 7th.
I'll be in touch tho :)
X"
